Fêtes & Feats of Perseverance
11 01, 18
dear long haulers and thru-hikers,
the last time i wrote to you was just before my ulnar nerve release surgery last april. as i said then, there are no guarantees, and it looks like i’m just one of those special few who don’t bounce back amazingly better shortly after that type of procedure. it continues to be a long, slow journey to increased functionality. but in recent months i do feel like i’m finally climbing out of the hole that i fell into in the aftermath of the surgery (which included not being able to drive for several months because gripping the steering wheel caused pain).
but what definitely did help and keep on helping are the healing wishes, love, generosity, and support from friends and family including many of you. thank you, thank you, again and again.
i am happy to finally be writing with news of a BOOKED GIG approaching in about one moon from now! it will be just me & the Ghost-Lights, on my birthday weekend, no less! please come celebrate with me in a delightfully cozy neighborhood art gallery!
with slow steps up the switchbacks,
petaluma
...& the Ghost-Lights!
