Greenwich Village & Radio Thrillage

dear hometownies and far-flung friends,

as you now know, my album,
The Long Way Out, has finally been released into the world! last week's show in cambridge with diane cluck was a wonderful night filled with friends who braved buckets from the sky to come and listen. there were spontaneous harmonies, there was cake, there were cellists in red dresses.

i also had the whopping surprise of an audience member walking out the door and saying goodnight, then casually slipping in, "i'll play you on the radio tomorrow!" and indeed she did! i tuned in the following morning to WMFO's program "
Something About the Women" with host joann keesey, who played three--yes, three!--of my songs, as well as a jaggery song, and a song by diane cluck. i listened in my kitchen while sharing strawberries and mangoes with diane and isabel. quite a wondrous and surreal morning.

now i'm looking forward to my new york release show this saturday. i can't wait to see my hometown friends and loved ones! it would mean a lot if you came out to listen and say hi. i'm very lucky to have gotten a gig on a saturday night at a reasonable hour! not an easy feat in nyc. i'll play with cellist extraordinaire valerie thompson of
goli, and i'll even have the treat of her bandmate vessela stoyanova playing a clarinet solo on one of my songs! it will be a good time for sure.

i know, however, that many of you are too far from boston and new york to get a CD in person, and you want to know how you can order it from a distance. ladies and gentlemen, here is your answer:

ORDER IT
HERE! (also, check out the newly designed website (handiwork of jack miller)!

love and letting it out,
petaluma
